JANICE MAZUR ARNP-BC, MSN, RN
Family Nurse Practitioner
Janice Mascitti-Mazur was born and raised in a working class neighborhood of Philadelphia. She attended the first all girls' academic high school in the city and was a student of fine arts for many years before she began her career in nursing.
Janice is a product of the old nursing system having graduated from a hospital based school of nursing program where she earned a Diploma in Nursing along with an Associate Degree. After graduation, Janice worked as medical-surgical nurse at the University of Pennsylvania, in neurosurgery before moving on to the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital where she expanded her practice to trauma nursing. In 1989, Janice earned her BSN from Penn State University, and then in 1996 she earned her MSN and Practitioner-ship in Family Medicine from Weidner University. In addition, Janice has worked as a trauma educator, traveling lecturer, clinical research coordinator for hospital based and international programs, trauma coordinator, and author.
Prior to moving to Florida in 2000, Janice lived and worked along the coast of southern New Jersey. She is married to an ER nurse, and has adult children residing in both the Philadelphia suburbs and here in SW Florida. Her interests still remain in the arts and she can often be found at local art shows and fairs.
Janice joined the Advanced Medical Center family in 2011. She is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurse's Credentialing Center.
